Why does Jesus call the Canaanite woman a dog?

I feel validated!

Boyce College Professor Dan Stephens made a short video on why Jesus called the SyroPhoenecian woman a "dog" in the Gospel According to Mark. Although he works from the text in Matthew, his conclusions line up with mine of a few weeks ago:

1. Didn't call her a dog. He was using parable-like imagery to make a point.

2. Grace is given to everyone, the Jew and the Greek 

3. We, though we are second in line, are co-heirs.
