This is what I am preaching (at least one of my points) this Sunday! Prep yourself by immersing yourself in this article (5 minute read, access it by clicking --> here <--)

I will be covering Mark 11:25 (and it's counterpart in Jesus' sermon on the mount). What you can add to the mix (extra credit) is Ephesians 4:31-32:

"Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

In the article, you will see the call to radical forgiveness. That involves more than saying, "I forgive you." It entails laying down what you think you are owed whenever you feel you have been wronged! Once you lay that down, you will find that you are free to love and your mind and heart are no longer captive to bitterness and strife!

This radical forgiveness is only made possible through the radical forgiveness we receive from God through Christ Jesus. Once we perceive what great love he poured out on us while we were rebels against him (Romans 5:8) will we ever understand radical forgiveness that we have toward others who rebel against us -- while they are rebelling against us!
