"You're not just roomates dividing chores, you are teammates executing a strategy. This alignment minimizes conflict over the small stuff because you are both focused on the bigger picture." - Chuck

I was raised in the same small Kansas town with my cousin, Chuck Russ,. He has pastored for decades. He sent me this 5 minute podcast yesterday - out of the blue - at the exact same time that our church elders are in prayer for the marriages in this church. We, as an elder body, are praying, person by person, for all of the marriages (and those waiting to be married) in Sojourn.

This podcast shaped how I prayed for you this morning. Living on mission together is so unifying and so absolutely necessary. Imagine if two people were stuck on a small desserted island. There would be conflict and eventual war, as they struggled over resources, territory, the means of comfort, and survival. But if these two were given a common mission that caused them to work together as a team, then the dynamic is forever changed!  Such is the pattern that God set in the Garden of Eden.

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”  Genesis 1:28
