The “Already and Not Yet” of God’s Redemptive Promises

It's an important concept: Is the Kingdom of God here right now, or is it a Kingdom that is to come when Jesus returns?
Theologians have coined a term called the, "already and not yet," to describe where we are now. The Kingdom came with the arrival of Jesus, sealed by his atoning work on the cross and resurrection from the dead. At the same time, he is returning!
So the Kingdom of God is now - already!
At the same time, the Kingdom of God is yet to come! We hope for it in the finished work of Jesus as we go about our lives in the here and now.
