Labor Day 2025

2 TImothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 

Paul is instructing Timothy about rightly working within the Word of God and striving for the truth of the gospel message. But this morning, on Labor Day 2025, there were a lot of people in this building working for the Kingdom by working on the building and on ministry. I have put the pictures in this post as a testament to the people (I didn't even get pictures of everyone - Nichole and Joel!) who took a holiday meant to celebrate our labor, and turned it in to an opportunity to labor for Christ Jesus!

Paul told the church in Colossae this about their labors:

Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. 

This pastor's heart was humbled as I came to work this morning to be greeted by the work of God's Holy Spirit stirring up so many to come here, on their day off, to labor on Labor Day!
